Today, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, talked with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, Fuad Hussein, who is leading the delegation of that country at a high-level meeting, dedicated to marking the 60th anniversary of the Non-Aligned Movement.
It was pointed out in the conversation that the relations between the two countries are good and friendly, and that the high-level meeting is an opportunity to discuss further improvement of cooperation in various fields.
The Prime Minister Ana Brnabić thanked for the principled position of Iraq when it comes to Kosovo and Metohija and respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.
Brnabić and Hussein stressed the importance of improving economic cooperation. Prime Minister Brnabić singled out the results that Serbia has achieved in the field of IT sector. Minister Hussein pointed out that Serbian companies are welcome in Iraq, especially in the construction, healthcare and education sectors. In that sense, Hussein said that Serbia, by building three new covid hospitals in an extremely short period of time, set an excellent example.
Brnabić and Hussein also discussed the current energy crisis.
